BBC NEWS (16th May 2012): Equality laws to be ‘simplified’ to ease obligations on business

 

Known details:

Portsmouth Race Equality Network Organisation Received £19,000 in 2010/11; no funding in 2011/12 following cuts to Area Based Grants.

Telford & Wrekin Race Equality and Diversity Partnership Received £225,000 in 2010/11; cut by £50,000 in 2011/12.

Waltham Forest Race Equality Council Received £23,000 in 2010/11; no funding in 2011/12.

Blackburn with Darwen Racial Equality Council Received £23,005 in 2010/11; no funding in 2011/12 following cuts to the Cohesion Area Based Grant.

Redbridge Equalities and Community Council Received £25,500 in 2010/11; cut by £1,275 in 2011/12.

Redbridge Refugee and Migrant Forum of East London Received £21,500 in 2010/11; cut by £1,075 in 2011/12.

Somerset Racial Equality Council Received £68,077.60 in 2010/11; no funding in 2011/12 following cuts to the Children’s Fund ABG.

Stevenage and North Herts Women’s Resource Centre Received a total of £25,531 in 2010/11; cut by £5,531 in 2011/12. The charity’s grant has been withdrawn, but council rent in kind payments will continue. The council’s EIA says: ‘If alternative funding cannot be secured for the rest of the centre manager’s salary, there may be an impact on women in Stevenage.’
