Kensington & Chelsea Action Disability Received £126,554 in 2010/11; cut by £6,328 in 2011/12. Includes redesign to offer more services to isolated people with disabilities, whilst decommissioning the consultation service.

Redcar & Cleveland Action for Blind Received £68,383 in 2010/11; cut by £18,400 in 2011/12.

The council’s EIA says: ‘Because this organisation has used the grant for its running costs, if no alternative funding can be found a service closure could result and have an impact on people with disabilities in Stevenage.’

Redcar & Cleveland Real Opportunity Centre Received a total of £229,102 in 2010/11; cut by a total of £124,087 in 2011/12. Funding ceased for Disabled People’s Partnership Board. Funding for Independent Living Resource Service will continue at a reduced level. £15k provided to allow time to develop a business case for future commissioning of Shopmobility at a reduced level.
